The search service can find package by either name (apache), provides(webserver), absolute file names (/usr/bin/apache), binaries (gprof) or shared libraries (libXm.so.2) in standard path. It does not support multiple arguments yet...
The System and Arch are optional added filters, for example System could be "redhat", "redhat-7.2", "mandrake" or "gnome", Arch could be "i386" or "src", etc. depending on your system.
This role represents a remote file that you want to cache locally, and then process. This is common functionality that I'm pulling out of my the PAUSE::Users manpage, the PAUSE::Permissions manpage and the PAUSE::Packages manpage modules. PAUSE::Users provides a simple interface to the '00whois.xml' file that is generated by PAUSE. It caches the file locally, then provides a mechanism for iterating over all users in the file.
