Overview

Thermal Gauge is a plug-in for NetWinder OfficeServer.

This plug-in monitors the temperature at various points inside the case of the NetWinder and provides a graphical representation of those temperatures over time.

There are three active temperature sensors inside the NetWinder; one is located in the CPU core, the other two are located near the top and bottom of the case allowing the plug-in to sample the CPU core temperature and the upper and lower ambient temperatures of the case. Samples of the temperatures at each sensor are taken by the plug-in every five minutes.

Note: The position of the sensors descibed is for the 3100/3300 series of NetWinders. For the rack mount 3400 series the main board has been turned on it's side resulting in the top sensor being on the left side of the case and the bottom sensor being on the right side of the case.

Several different temperature graphs are available:

Hourly: Shows the CPU core temperature, and the upper and lower ambient temperatures over the last hour.
Daily: Shows the CPU core temperature, and the upper and lower ambient temperatures over the last twenty-four hours.
Weekly: Shows the CPU core temperature, and the upper and lower ambient temperatures over the last seven days.
Monthly: Shows the CPU core temperature, and the upper and lower ambient temperatures over the last four weeks.
All: Shows hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly temperature graphs all on one page.
